There’s something deeply powerful about cheering for other women to succeed. When we celebrate one another, we uplift not only our friends but also ourselves. Today, I’m reflecting on one of the most cherished friendships in my life the friendship I’ve shared with Katie Martinez and the beautiful journey we’ve walked together.

A few decades ago, I met Katie, and even then, I knew she was special. We didn’t just connect; we bonded over our dreams, our aspirations, and our faith. Katie had dreams of making her mark in the fashion world, while I dreamed of using my story to impact lives across the nation and beyond. Even though our paths were different, we prayed for one another, knowing that God had big plans for both of us.

Those early days of dreaming together feel like a lifetime ago, but they were just the beginning of the incredible journeys we’ve been on. Over the years, Katie and I stayed connected as much as we could through prayers, check-ins, and cheering from afar. Today, as I pause to reflect, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for how our dreams have unfolded.

This year alone, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to 15 states, sharing my story with thousands of youth, educators, advocates, and nonprofit leaders. My work with IMPACTtruth, Inc. has allowed me to live out my purpose in ways I never imagined, and I am deeply fulfilled by the difference I’ve been able to make. The road hasn’t always been easy, but I am so thankful for every challenge, every triumph, and every moment that brought me to where I am today.

But this post isn’t just about my journey it’s about the incredible woman I have the honor of calling my friend. 🎉🤯🙏🏼🙌🏻❤️ Katie just wrapped up New York Fashion Week, and not only that, she had her OWN RUNWAY SHOW! I am so proud of her that I can barely contain it. Watching her dedication, creativity, and passion unfold into something so magnificent has been nothing short of inspiring. Katie’s success isn’t just a testament to her talent, but also to her perseverance and her heart. She didn’t let the struggles stop her. She didn’t give up when the road got tough. She pressed on, and now, she’s standing at the pinnacle of her career, showing the world just what she’s made of.
